Ingredients:

For the Cake:

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • Ingredients required by cake mix (usually eggs, oil, and water)

For the Coconut Filling:

  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 14 oz coconut flakes

For the Topping:

  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips, melted

Directions:

  1. Prepare the chocolate cake according to the package instructions using the required ingredients. Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan. Bake as directed on the box. Let the cake cool completely after baking.
  2. For the coconut filling, in a medium bowl, mix together the sweetened condensed milk and coconut flakes. Spread this mixture over the cooled cake.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Spread this whipped cream over the coconut layer.
